It's March!

I still cannot believe already it has been 6 weeks...or well I am in the middle of my 6th week I should say. Things are going really well. Today it was sunny outside which totally made me smile. Nothing like listening to warm climate music like Slightly Stoopid or Boxelder and seeing the sunshine. My brother Travis likes to call my music taste hippie island music. Whatever. hahaha I do miss my brother. I had a dream last night we were pigging out on pizza and watching some horror flick. My........ have things changed. I only seem to be eating meatballs. Just kidding. :) Well sort of...cause when I went to Stockholm, which I will tell you about later...I totally ordered meatballs at Café Operbaren. So last week was pretty busy with work trying to make last minute tweaks and banners and Helena uploading what I designed. It was really nice to see the process coming along and knowing that we are gonna make deadline made me happy for sure. It was also nice to speak with Niina and Sanna about blogging and also to have our monthly meeting and see whats going on and whats next for the business here. I went out Wednesday night with Tiki, Tom, Megan and Miles to Rafla (http://www.ravintolarafla.fi/) It was good and we had a great time talking and laughing. Afterward we went to We got Beef . I have been here before with Tuomas, but this time i totally did the running man on the micro-sized dance floor in the back. "I love to dance like no one is watching!!" only this time Tom saw me. But nothing was more funny than the pictures we saw for the men and womens bathroom. I will post later for sure so you can laugh too. I couldnt stop laughing after the fact about it, but I have to remember that although so funny it is also so very helpful. The thing is when you don't know the language the picture def helps. I got my cable and internet working at the house and it was so great to see the news room at MTV3 where I was the week before. Thursday I decided to hit the movies again. I went to see Vicky Christina Barcelona which by the way is a good movie...its about two girls who spend a summer in Barcelona and how being there has changed the way they think and do things when they get back home. Well sort of sounded familiar when I watched it sitting in this Finnish theater all alone. I thought to myself even though this is def not spending a summer in Barcelona more like a long winter in Finland it so far has really changed the way I feel about things and given a diff perpspective on everything. I, of course, want to come home and do more artsy things, paint...go to more art shows, go to the beach more since its so close, spend more time with my family, read more, maybe learn some new things like sewing...I know right now some of you are thinking..yeah good luck with all this cause I will probably get back home and work work work...but really I would loveto travel more and spend more time enjoying life. L-I-V-I-N! Alright....Professionally it has changed me, too. I have met a lot more employees of Bonnier. I have learned new ways of design. I am so used to working mainly on sports titles that the style and beauty is a new vision for me. I just can't say enough how fortunate I feel about this program and really wish I could tell Jonas himself. wink wink. It is rumored that he will be here in Helsinki next week so I am so hoping he stops by the office and I can tell him face to face thank you for producing such a wonderful program!! I was lucky enough to meet with Elisabeth Polombo in Stockholm, while I was there visiting this weekend. Friday night I took a flight out around 6:55 and then got to Stockholm at 6:55. Yeah I totally traveled through time. Just kidding they are an hour behind us. Flight was quick like 45 minutes then I took the Express Train to Stockholm City or the center where Makmann was waiting for me. The train was about 20 mintues from the city. After arriving we took the metro to her flat and got ready for the night. It was great to meet some of her friends she works with and we had a great time. CeeLa and Amela (I may have spelled those wrong) work with Michelle at T4 in Stockholm. We went out dancing and hit the best clubs. It was all so great. Got on stage and loved every minute of it! hahaha Next morning got up, got ready, shopped a bit and then met for lunch at 1pm with Elisabeth. This is where I couldn't be quiet. I was so excited to meet her and thank her and tell her all about my time in Finland that the lunch got cold. Imagine that. Me talk a lot. hahaha But then afterward we spent time shopping and it was so much fun! We joked and laughed and had an AWESOME time. :) Next Michelle and I got ready to go to Mikkos for a GROW party. I met Ami and Renee from CA and then CeeLa and Amela joined as well Michelle and I and Mikko. We had so much fun discussing our adventures and what we do back home and then went out for a fabulous time at Cafe Opera. It was way nice! Next day we spent exploring the city and Michelle took me to Old Town where we went to Cafe Mineur (I know...I giggled myself) and it was neat like you are going down in a basement...only this basement was the prettiest one I have ever seen, music playing, candles, comfy chairs, COFFEE and just such a great place to chat and have a good time. Michelle and I then went exploring and found some killer tshirt shops which both of us got some things and then next thing you know it was getting dark and we were eating again and then before you knew it I was running to the train to make sure I made my flight out back to Helsinki. What a long, but wonderful week and weekend! Here's to week 6!!

Love it, love it, love it. Can't stop wanting to catch up with your adventure. Get your rest because it sure sounds like you are burning the candle at both ends. OMG the thrill of meeting all these people and getting to do all the things that we can only read about. You truly have done so much during this "celebrate 6 weeks" timeframe!

Wish you much love and think of you always!
