So Happy Together....

Friday night, we all went out for cosmic bowling vol. 2! The plan was to bowl from 5-7 pm at Urheilutalo and afterwards have dinner at Soul Kitchen. Thanks to Minna it was all organized and a great group to go! Based on the pictures to follow you can see how much fun we had. Minna was the winner of the game and sad to say this but I was the Lo-hooooo-zaaa-heeerrrr!!! Gutter after gutter...guess that college course at UF for the one credit really paid off. I kid I kid. But really I think I was just having an off night. Yeah that's it! hahaha It was a great time bowling and we all had a lot of fun. Afterward the five of us, Minna, Mats, Hanna, Helle and I, went to Soul Kitchen for some dinner. Yummy! They have the best cajun fries. Bring on the Soul!! There we met up with Petra and all had a great time chatting and laughing. As if we weren't having fun enough we headed off to Vlava, next to the railway station and met up with Vera and some friends. It was SO fun.
The next day I cleaned the flat, did laundry and that sort of thing and then decided to go with Tiki into the madness. Ok, so Stockmann...the place I told you about before that has like everything you need in ONE store and if you can't find it at Stockmann then you don't need it...so they say. So twice a year they have a sale, which we actually were catching it on the last day but people GO CRAZY!!!! The place was packed and the sales were HUGE! It was funny to see everyone so happy and excited. We didn't stay long cause we really couldn't handle too much of it...plus Tiki and I were looking forward to watching Cashmere Mafia that we borrowed from Mikko season one and enjoy dinner and some wine. It was so much fun to relax and watch tv. Sometimes its a must on a rainy day!
This week is Easter week and also means its a short one. We have off on both Friday and Monday and I will be staying here in town. I plan to go on a train to visit with Hanna and her family. They invited me for dinner at her parents house and also to color eggs with the kids at her sister-n-laws place. Believe me I cannot wait! I'm obviously excited about the delicious home cooked meal, but also very much excited about coloring eggs. I love doing that! Always have and always will. Its one of my favorites about Easter besides the peeps and cadbury eggs (but I won't be seeing those this year :( wah) And I also will be missing my little nieces on their Easter Egg hunt at my Moms work. They go every year and I gotta tell you I love it. We take pictures with the Easter Bunny and they take their baskets and run for those hidden eggs. I remember one year my niece Molly had her basket so full and she tripped the eggs went flying and the kids started swarming...it was so sad cause Molly was trying to help herself up while the other kids were stealing her eggs, but in the end she had a few eggs left and one of them ended up being the grand prize egg and she won the biggest Easter Basket!! She was so happy. Gosh I miss her and Monica. And everyone in my family! But I am very fortunate I get to spend it with Hanna and her family and I am very excited for the day! Easter weekend also marks my brother's bday and my very good friend Molly's bday so I wanted to say Happy Birthday to both of them and wish I could be there to celebrate. Also, this weekend Lisa (a GROW ambassador from Winter Park to Estonia) is visiting me. I am excited to show her around the city and catch up with her about everything that has been going on here. She has just started her program in Estonia and I am also excited to learn what she has experienced so far.
I got another package!! I got one from Jennifer and Digsby again and wanted to say Thank you...except this time it was an accident. I was to recieve an Easter Basket with candy and bunny ears and by accident the boxes got switched and I ended up with bottles and pacifiers. At first I was thinking are they trying to tell me something? I have been told before that I can act like a baby at times but Geez! Just kidding. It was really a great thought to send me an Easter basket and I wanted to say Thank you for thinking of me. It was really sweet again to send me something. Then today I get to work and there is another box on my desk. To my surprise I got a care package from Todd. Thank you Thank you! It had Cheetos and candy a cute Easter card and also the DVD of the Superbowl with the Steelers winning it ALL!! Sorry to once again rub it in that they are the champions! But I was so happy to recieve it and can't wait to watch it. Being that I arrived here on February 1st I missed the superbowl and didn't get to see my fave NFL team win it all. But now I have the chance so Thank you for being so thoughtful!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! See you soon...only a few more weeks right? Unbelievable....how fast time can fly when you are having fun!
P.S. I saw an ad the other day for Gina Tricot and I think the fanny pack is back! OMG!

Love the story about the egg hunt with Molly!! So cute. Coloring easter eggs and hunting for them, was such a great past time. I am so glad you got the package. Yeah!! I wish I would have known you liked peeps and cadbury eggs I could have sent you some. But how about them Steelers (I can rub it in)!.....lol....It's tough missing family and friends around the holidays. But you enjoy your weekend with Hanna (and a home cooked meal) and you'll be back here in sunny Florida real soon! We miss you Shannon! :-) ....Todd

P.S. Funny we have an ISLANDS bowling day on Friday and I took Friday and Monday off. But I'll show up because it's fun to bowl. I can be the same way, either I'm on a roll, or it's gutter fever....lol

My dearest Shannon,
Oh how I love reading about the events of the day. Yet this story made me think of our many Easter's together with family and the story about Molly dumping all her Easter eggs with very little to show for her hunt, ending with how she won the Grand prize brought many fond memories to the forefront. Oh how I remember our tradition at my company Egg Hunt, but once again things have changed with my retirement and we move forward. So glad you will have a home cooked meal and I can't wait to hear about how you spent your Easter with Hanna and her family. If I knew you liked peeps and cadbury eggs that much, I would have sent you some too. We all miss you and wish you well. Looking forward to hearing more about all your episodes in Finland and you my dear, will be back in the good ole' USA shortly.
BK,
Mombo
